Evgeni Malkin and girlfriend Oksana Kondakova have had an on again off again relationship since before Evgeni’s rookie season in the United States. The two were dating prior to his stateside arrival, but Evgeni reportedly broke up with her once he moved here. Part of the problem was rumored to be that Oksana was married to a Russian millionaire, though separated and going through divorce proceedings.
However, after finally moving out of teammate Sergei Gonchar’s house, Evgeni admits that he surrounded himself in his new pad with plenty of familiar faces, including his parents and his girlfriend.
Fast forward to the summer of 2009. Oksana was seen on the arm of Evgeni arriving at Penguin’s owner Mario Lemieux’s house for a Stanley Cup celebration party. Days later, the speculation was fully confirmed when the two were spotted in a variety of intimate poses while vacationing in Miami Beach.
Reportedly, the couple split sometime in the fall of 2009, while Malkin was seen around town with a new woman. However, Oksana rumors heated up again when she was spotted during the 2010 Winter Olympics supporting Evgeni’s Russian team.

Long story short. The two have been together, and have been broken up. The pattern is likely to continue in the future as well.

The two were married in 2001, and have three children: oldest daughter, Gaby, is Michelle’s from a previous relationship, another daughter Reece Lynn and son Jackson.

Even though he’s widely regarded as the dirtiest player in the NHL, Matt has a good resume off the ice. Matt and Michelle run a charitable organization called Cooke Family Foundation of Hope. The organization was founded after the death of their stillborn niece, Hope, who was born at 38 weeks without a heartbeat in 2006.

Despite being the face of the NHL and arguably one of the most valuable players in the league, there is one thing that is not certain about Sidney Crosby – who he’s dating. We have been through the ringer searching for answers here, at one point chasing a lead for days only to find out it was one of his teammate’s wives. As worldwide a star as he is, his ability to keep his private life hidden is second to none.

There are a lot of rumors out there, most pointing to him dating model Kathy Leutner. While no one can say definitively when they became a couple, it may have been as early as 2008. That being the case, if they were still together, it’d likely that they’re pretty serious, but that’s pure conjecture on our part. Unfortunately, there has been no public sightings of the two in years, so it’s very likely that this was a short time fling that ended a couple years ago.

Leutner is 25 and has been modeling since 18, when she was discovered near her hometown in Virginia. She was in the running for SI Swimsuit 2011 model search, but ultimately lost out. She primarily works for Abercrombie & Fitch and has been on the cover of Fitness magazine multiples times. She calls herself an Eagles fan, so if she truly roots for Philadelphia teams, this relationship would amount to high treason.

As the Penguins gear up for a trip through the NHL playoffs on the quest to be the first team to 16 postseason wins, the city of Pittsburgh turns it’s eyes to their star netminder. Lucky for the Steel City that Marc-Andre Fleury’s wife Veronique Fleury (formerly LaRosee) knew their concern and helped keep him focused. Less than a week before the NHL playoffs kicked off, Veronique gave birth to daughter, Estelle just in time to make sure Marc-Andre would be fully focused and present for the first seeded Penguins playoffs. Estelle is rumored to have been born at almost 10 pounds and is the couple’s first child.

Marc-Andre Fleury and Veronique were married in 2012 after getting engaged in the summer of 2011. The couple was married in front of a slew of friends and family including dozens of Penguins teammates. Marc-Andre and Veronique first began dating at the age of 15 in 1999 the year before he started playing in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.

Unfortunately, in an effort to bring you ever player wife out there and Dagmar Vokoun fits the bill. For those not familiar with who Dagmar Vokoun is married to you my friend would not be alone. The correct answer to this question would be Pittsburgh Penguin goalie Tomas Voukon. Voukon has actually had one of those sneaky good careers even though he’s bounced around from team to team in the NHL. He’s made a few All-Star games and been the starting goalie for the Czech Republic in all their recent major tournaments including the 2010 Olympics. Since the name Dagmar doesn’t sound very American I think its safe to say that Tomas and Dagmar met back in the homeland before Tomas came over to the US to continue his hockey career. The couple resides in Florida with their two daughters Adelle and Natalie. That’s what we got. Unfortunately, I wasn’t lying when I said this post wasn’t going to win any awards.

Kris Letang’s girlfriend Catherine Laflamme is hot, no doubt about it. She’s also Canadian. So it’s no upset that she ended up with a hockey player boyfriend in Pittsburgh Penguin’s defender Kris Letang. Catherine is no stranger to the hockey circuit as she’s also been linked to NHL blueliner Mike Komisarek but her relationship with Kris is a little deeper, as the couple has a son named Alexander who was born in late 2012.

For our Canadian fans some might recognize Catherine from her reality TV days. She appeared on a show called “Occupation Double” which from what I can find is a mix between The Bachelor, Big Brother and The Amazing Race. The first two I can see a connection but the Amazing Race? How does that fit with the other two? Does the cast have travel to various spots in order to attempt to hook up with another cast member? I’m really perplexed on this, not enough to watch the show but I’d like to see how that worked.

Another question I have and I’ll discuss it in the context of Catherine and her son Alex (but this goes for anyone that lives in the TMZ.com run world): How do you explain your behavior to your son when he becomes old enough to Google your name? I mean I’m sure my mom and dad did some seriously messed up things when they were younger but I’ll never find out. Alex is going to be able to toss his mom’s name in a Google search and watch video of her throwing herself at a man that isn’t his dad (probably multiple men). Hell Alex’s friends can do the same thing and watch Catherine tramp it up. Can you imagine being a 12 year old and having your friends talk about seeing your mom with someone who is not your father? I just see a future generation of really messed up kids who can find out everything their parents did when they were younger just with a click of the mouse.

Two words describe this couple; true leaders. As the second oldest player on the men’s US Olympic hockey team, Brooks Orpik is known by his teammates as a player who leads by example. But less known by hockey fans is that Brook Orpik’s wife Erin Lilly Orpik leads by example as well.

Before Erin Lilly became Erin Lilly Orpik, she established herself as an innovator. While she was still dating Penguins’ defenseman Brooks Orpik, Erin Lilly Orpik spearheaded the Pens and Pins yearly charity event. This collaborative bowling event brings the Penguins Wives Association together with the Make A Wish Foundation, and raised 180 thousand dollars in its first three years. The most impressive aspect of the event is that Erin Lilly Orpik devised an event in which everyone from the wives to the girlfriends to the players gets involved and loves it.

But leaders are not born, they are created. And even before Brooks Orpik met Erin Lilli Orpik, she was leading the women’s UMass soccer team to victories. In her Junior year alone, Erin Lilly Orpik lead the team in scoring, with six goals and six assists for 18 points. The Ballston Lake, NY native scored all of her goals in the season’s final four games, including a school-record-tying four scores against Temple.

In their more private life, the dynamic couple combines their leadership skills when it comes to things like eating healthy. During the offseason, Brooks Orpik and Erin Lilly Orpik live on an organic farm 20 miles south of Boston, called Holly Hill Farm. The couple eats fresh produce, eggs and meat, and takes their health and Brooks Orpik’s training seriously. Brooks Orpik also hopes his teammates will learn from his example. Let’s just hope they continue to learn from his example on the ice this Olympic season and the US hockey team comes home with the gold.

Nick Bonino’s wife Lauren Bonino’s European jaunt this postseason included a stopover to the sinking city of Venice, Italy. This was just one of those getaways from the lovely city of Vancouver, which was their home until very recently when Nick was traded to the Pittsburgh Penguins. So now I don’t know what their plan is, but I imagine they’ll be packing up and moving to Pittsburgh or one of the surrounding areas. Hey, you could do a lot worse.

The couple got engaged on July 1, 2013, but I’m not sure when their wedding took place. In March of 2014, Lauren had a joint bachelorette party with one of her friends at a place called Bootsy Bellows, owned by Mr. Coutney Cox, aka David Arquette. These NHL wives travel so much you can’t assume they’re ever in their home city. For a long while Nick Bonino’s wife Lauren Bonino was living with him in Anaheim, and she was doing the whole Lady Ducks thing where they get together and have a fashion show to raise money for a hospital. Last year while they were still Ducks people, Nick and Lauren drove around California on a kind of tour, checking out San Francisco, Napa Valley, and some place called Carmel. That included a little time motoring around on segways (always good for a goofy photo opp).

One of Lauren’s favorite friends is her dog Kali, an Australian Shepherd who goes everywhere with the couple. The dog’s got those kind of freaky icy-blue eyes that make you think there’s a robot operating the dog, but Kali is a nice pup. On New Year’s Eve of 2014, Nick and Lauren enjoyed a glass of wine and took what I would called a sweet but awkward picture of themselves kissing, and they both sort of missed each other’s mouths. I’ve never been a fan of kissing photos, but this one is just sloppy. If you’re going to down an entire bottle of wine with your fiance, make sure you hit her lips when the camera flashes.

Pascal Dupuis’ wife Carole Dupuis​ is the mother of their four children, Maeva, Kody, Zoe, and Lola. HBO Sports actually featured the Dupuis family’s homelife on their show. They live in a suburb outside of Pittsburgh with two dogs and a cat, speaking French to each other and then switching to English at random intervals. I wonder if the dogs respond to both French and English commands. It’s always funny to me to see a dog responding to French commands, for some reason. By the way, the two dogs are Bernese Mountain dogs, in case you’re wondering.

I watched a video once of Pascal Dupuis pulling his own tooth out after he got smacked in the face during a game. He sat down in the players’ box and his trainer came up to him and asked if he wanted him to hang on to a tooth so he didn’t lose it, so Pascal pulled it out and gave it to him. It was fairly disturbing. Most NHL hockey players have what could be termed “dental issues.” But that is not a problem for Pascal Dupuis’ wife Carole, thank God. She has all her teeth and nobody smacks them out of her mouth. She’s always busy taking care of all their little kids. The oldest one is Maeva and she is 11 years old now.

During Valentine’s, Carole helped the kids make Valentine’s Day cards, and some of them were for Pascal. That’s the life of a mom of four, I guess. You help your kids make some cards with hearts on them, and then you turn on a big flatscreen and watch some hockey. It’s not a bad deal. For Halloween, Pascal dressed up as one of those minions and Carole dressed up in some kind of overalls and yellow shirt. I guess she was like a companion to the minion? They’re friends with Chris Kunitz and his girlfriend, so they all celebrated Halloween together. The whole family moves to Quebec in the offseason, but Carole told Pascal that he was allowed to go look for another team in another city but that they considered Pittsburgh their home. That’s a bit of a passive-aggressive way to say “please don’t make us move away from Pittsburgh.” The Bernese Mountain dogs consider Pittsburgh home!

Matthew Murray’s girlfriend Christina Sirignano is a student at Lakehead University in sunny and occasionally frigid Thunder Bay, Ontario. Christina’s squad includes two small doggies, one of which appears to be a shaggy dog named Z. The other is indeterminate. I’m okay at spotting dog breeds but I don’t know them all, folks. Both the dogs are just over 1 years old. I can’t exactly tell if she got them together as a package deal, but they’re roughly the same age.

Now that we’ve gotten Christina’s canine ownership squared away, let’s talk about her social life with Matthew. It appears Matthew Murray’s girlfriend Christina Sirignano has a firm hold over a lot of their couples activities. For instance, what are the odds that he organized their trip to a painting studio to paint flowers? I’d say they’re slim. I did happen to see both of their paintings of the flowers, and Christina’s was more detailed and lush. She’s the artist of the relationship. They’ve also been known to dabble in casino trips, and Mr. Murray was actually featured on signs while they visited. It was part of a meet-and-greet. How impressive is that for your girlfriend? You go to a casino to gamble and your boyfriend is on signs for guests to meet him.

I will admit: I am a big fan of this chick. She’s got that cool but energetic vibe. Matthew Murray’s girlfriend doesn’t seem to in-your-face either. She seems like a down-to-earth girl who likes to smile. It’s hard not to dig that, right? Murray and Sirignano have known each other for quite some time, it seems. They may have even been dating before he was drafted since they’re both from Thunder Bay. Many of her pictures of them together date back years. One in particular looks like it could have been some kind of formal dance (perhaps a senior prom?). Things click nicely with these two kids.

Conor Sheary’s girlfriend Jordan Sullivan attended Cushing Academy with her future husband. Cushing is a private high school in Ashburnham, Massachusetts that is known as somewhat of a hockey factory for high school kids. When the pair graduated, Conor moved on to UMass Amherst while Jordan attended Northeastern University. During his final year at The University of Massachusetts-Amherst, Sheary led the team with 28 points in 34 games, including a team-best 19 assists (and 9 goals for those who aren’t so great at math).

Conor Sheary’s girlfriend Jordan Sullivan is set to become his wife on August 18, 2018. The wedding is set to take place at Castle Hill in Ipswich, MA. I’m from Massachusetts but I’ve never heard of Castle Hill. That said, since the wedding is more than 2 years away, I’m guessing it’s one of those highly desirable wedding venues. I’ve never understood why people would plan a wedding more than 2 years out. The pair announced their engagement on March 21st via Jordan’s Twitter account, so that makes the wedding almost two and a half years after the engagement. That’s crazy to me, but it’s really not that uncommon I guess.

If you’re interested, Conor Sheary and Jordan Sullivan are registered at Pottery Barn. You might be thinking, why do they need to register for anything, he’s an NHL star who has just scored two goals in the first two games of the Stanley Cup Finals. Well, this sort of thing really isn’t that uncommon with pro athletes. Actually, if you think about the logistics of it – it would probably be weird to invite a bunch of people to your wedding and ask them NOT to bring gifts. You’re bound to have the people who just outright refuse to follow your request and bring a gift anyway. Then that makes all of the other people who didn’t bring gifts feel awkward and before long you have a whole controversy on your hands. We still prefer the Steph Curry school of thought – ask people to donate to charity instead. Well, to each his/her own here folks.

Phil Kessel’s girlfriend Sandra Pereira is a self-described food enthusiast who gets clothes gifted to her by the by. She has about 3000 followers on Instagram, but my guess is her goal is to pump that up as much as she can. She takes a lot of selfies, and she posts a lot of pictures of her dog, Coco. The dog itself is one of those tiny little cute furries who you can’t help but like. It appears Phil also has a dog who looks a little like Benji from the old Disney television show.

Sandra goes to a lot of sporting events, and that includes other sports too. She’s been to the Pittsburgh and Blue Jays game this year, and she was rooting for Toronto over Pittsburgh. I suspect we have a Canadian native in our midst. Would it surprise you? She’s dating a hockey player, but Phil’s from Wisconsin. Sandra also posted a picture of Toronto and went on and on about how much the Blue Jays deserve a World Series. So yeah, it’s pretty much a lock that she’s from there (especially it’s since Phil used to play there). Phil Kessel’s girlfriend dressed up with him in old-time tennis gear for Halloween. Other blogs seemed to take notice of that picture since it made Phil look pretty silly. Being silly with your hot girlfriend is what Halloween is all about!

It’s nice to have a girl from Canada who appreciates a hockey player’s talents! That’s not to say Sandra doesn’t think Phil is good looking. Phil Kessel’s girlfriend Sandra likes to go to music concerts as well. She attended Drake in 2015 and Coachella that same year. She also hit up Vegas (as all good sports girlfriends should do at least once a year) and proclaimed it a boring time. I guess she’s not a gambler? It appears she only started dating Phil in 2016 since there are no photos of her with the big fella’ in 2015. Instead, there’s a bunch of photos with her and a couple of her traveling pals. She seems to be the type of girl who knows how to have fun and likes to mix it up.

Mario Lemieux’s wife Nathalie Lemieux is the mother of their two kids, Austin and Stephanie. The kids themselves are basically best friends with the sister of Sidney Crosby. Her name is Taylor, and as you might have imagined- they all play hockey. They all play hockey a lot. Mario said they’re on the ice as often as possible, and when they’re not on the ice they’re on the pavement. Taylor Crosby plays on an all-boys team. I do think it’s pretty cool that Mario and Nathalie’s kids are best friends with Sidney Crosby’s sister. It kind of puts a human spin on pro sports.

Nathalie herself helps organize and run the Mario Lemieux Foundation. She specializes in playrooms in hospitals. This is kind of a big deal for kids since a lot of times hospitals don’t have a place for children to go and play. What they do is organize a ladies golf tournament and then put all the proceeds to the playrooms. She got the idea when their first child, Austin, was born. He was really premature and had to spend 71 days in neonatal care. Mario Lemieux’s wife is really thoughtful for coming up with the idea. She must be a pretty empathetic person.

Last year, Mario Lemieux’s wife Nathalie surprised Mario with a huge birthday bash that apparently blindsided him really bad. He didn’t see it coming at all. It was one of those ones where you show up to your house and a bajillion people are there waiting for you to walk through the door so they can yell “surprise!” I mean, what’s better than that? Nathalie set the whole thing up too. Anyway, I watched a short interview with Nathalie regarding her work with the Foundation, and she’s certainly an educated and classy lady. She even opened a military hospital playroom unit recently. That’s for military families with kids. I can tell she cares a lot for people and wants to make a difference.

Evgeni Malkin’s girlfriend Anna Kasterova is a Russian model who possesses an exotic Russian look. Anna is also the mother of their son, Nikita. She reminds me of Vera Farmiga in a lot of her photos. Miss Kasterova certainly takes a stylish selfie and also shares a lot of her social media photos. Naturally, the couple spends a lot of time in Pittsburgh, but Anna travels extensively. In August of 2016 she went to Disney World with Evgeni. If you spend a good amount of time in Pittsburgh, a trip to Orlando is a welcome respite. Naturally, trips to Moscow come frequently in their lives when the season is over. Anna actually hosts a television show in Russia, but I don’t know how often she does that.

Anna actually posed in front of the Stanley Cup with Evgeni in Moscow. I don’t know how easy it is to transport the trophy to different continents. It must cost a fortune. Nevertheless, Evgeni Malkin’s girlfriend tagged the picture in Moscow. I think it’s very likely the couple also own a residence in Florida because they also spend a lot of time there. Anna posts pictures from Versace Villa off the Miami coast. One of the unusual pictures Anna shared is an image of her looking cool in a leather jacket and leaning against a bunch of stacked beach chairs. It’s odd since the stacked beach chairs are distracting.

In May of 2015, Anna appeared in a photograph with a Russian gentleman who appears to host a sports show on YouTube. This is likely one of her colleagues from Russian television. Anna’s show is a morning show, and I don’t think it is related to sports. They appeared very cozy together but I do not believe they were ever involved in a relationship since Evgeni appears with her two weeks later in a photograph. They actually started to date in 2013.

Bryan Rust’s girlfriend Kelsey Burton drank beer from the Stanley Cup last year after Bryan’s team won it. The couple go on regular date nights in Pittsburgh. It’s not a bad city for a night on the town. When they want to experience something more exotic, the couple travel to a place like Atlantis Resort in The Bahamas. Of course, this is a huge vacation destination for a lot of pro athletes. Baseball and hockey players especially frequent the place. Bryan and Kelsey swam with some dolphins and posed for a photo in the water with them. Naturally, Kelsey talked about how she missed the place after she got back home to humble Pittsburgh.

The couple own an adorable Bernese Mountain Dog named Teddy whom occasionally shows up in Kelsey’s social media feed. I believe Kelsey originally hails from Canada. She frequently visited a place called Gatineau Park in Pontiac, Quebec. Pontiac is a municipality in Canada, and I assume Kelsey grew up there. Bryan actually comes from Michigan and is not a Canadian citizen. I don’t know the details of how they met, but I do know Kelsey spent time in Chicago for a while. Bryan Rust’s girlfriend attended the University of Ottawa and graduated in Mary of 2015. That pegs her age at about twenty-three if she was twenty-one when she graduated.

Kelsey grew up in a huge house situated in the middle of a forest. Kelsey idealizes the house in social media posts. She speaks fondly of it and travels back there for rest. These days, Bryan Rust’s girlfriend hangs out with other player wives and girlfriends when she wants to have fun. Here’s a question for you: how do you work as a top international model and stay out of the public eye? Mike Sullivan’s wife Kate Sullivan is the mother of their three kids, Kaitlin, Kiley and Matthew. From what I can tell, she is a high-ranking nurse at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Plymouth. I don’t know if she nurses directly or administrates other nurses because her actual job title does not seem available on the internet. Nevertheless, she works at that hospital and helps people. She has been doing this for years. I love nurses because they are absolutely integral to healthcare. It always seems like they don’t receive enough credit. She lives in Boston and does not care to move to Pittsburgh just because Mike coaches there.

When you talk about hockey wives, there are essentially two kinds. One kind is green and will travel anywhere whenever a new job pops up. These kinds often don’t have children too so that makes it easy. The other kind of hockey wife stays where they are because they put down roots. Mike Sullivan’s wife is most definitely the latter kind. She grew up in the lovely town of Norwell, Massachusetts, and all of her kids went to classy Boston-area schools. These are true New Englanders!

You also might be asking yourself, what is Rodan + Fields? R+F is a “multi-level marketing” (which sounds a whole lot like a pyramid scheme) behind the product Proactiv, an acne treatment solution. I understand why the wife of a professional athlete would want to have a job. I actually admire the drive. That said, if money weren’t an issue for me, I’m pretty sure that selling cosmetics in a pyramid scheme would be the last thing that I would do. But hey, to each her own. If you want to buy some cosmetics from here, go nuts.

Anyway Chris Kunitz’ wife Maureen Kunitz is also the mother of their three children. Zachary James was born on April 15, 2009. Two years later, almost to the day, the couple had their second child, Payton Marie on April 5, 2011. The Kunitz family broke with their April tradition and welcomed their third child, Aubrey Ann, on January 26, 2014. The three children seem very happy and well-adjusted, if Instagram photos are any measure. Maureen even let the two oldest children stay up late for game 7 a few weeks ago! Forsythe was also charged with stealing from another couple, who she nannied for. The theft included an $4,400 18-karat gold diamond necklace and $10,000 diamond-stud earrings.

Patric Hornqvist’s wife Malin Hornqvist gave birth to their first child, Isabella, on my birthday in 2014. Isabella popped out in March and started a new chapter in their lives. The couple first met back in Stockholm, Sweden. Patric used to practice on the same ice as Malin practiced since she used to figure skate. Because of this connection, they began to develop a rapport together. She said they couldn’t stop staring at each other because the attraction was immediate. That’s always a good sign!

They married back in Stockholm on July 27, 2015. The plans started after Patric Hornqvist’s wife said yes to his proposal at a spa. He surprised her with a trip to the swanky place, bought dinner, and they stayed the night at the hotel. According to Wedding Style Magazine, he popped the question in the room and she said yes. That happened in 2012, and it took them three years because they wanted everything to be perfect. Weirdly, lightning struck the church they married in right when Patric began to recite his vows. After the ceremony, they all went outside and found the rain stopped and the sun shined the rest of the day.

Both Patric and Malin love to take care of their baby girl. Patric said she gives him a happy energy because after a loss he comes home and sees her smiling up at him. That’s a touching sentiment. Patric Hornqvist’s wife is amused by the nickname his teammates gave him. They call him “Horny.” He didn’t choose it and it’s catchy! Of course, Malin loves to watch the games and bring Isabella when she can. You can bet she will go to as many Finals games as possible. Since Jake comes from Minnesota originally, I have a good idea for him right out the gate. If he wants to date someone originally from his home state, he should look no further than Analeigh Tipton. She is a minor celebrity who models and acts in well-known movies. Analeigh appeared in the film “Crazy, Stupid, Love.” In addition, she participated in the tv show America’s Next Top Model and placed third. She maintains an artsy social media account with plenty of pretty pics.

Of course, if Jake Guentzel’s girlfriend should already live in Pittsburgh, then let me recommend someone else. Mercedes Dollson originally appeared on PlayerWives as LeVeon Bell’s girlfriend. That was two years ago. I don’t think they are still together. So I recommend that she go to a Penguins game and see if any lightning bolts strike her when Jake takes to the ice. What I enjoy about Miss Dollson is she shares her opinions once out of three social media posts. My final recommendation for Jake Guentzel’s girlfriend is Chloe Grace Moretz. You may already think this comes from left field. No, there are a few good reasons to consider her. For one, she already loves hockey. She goes to Islanders games on the regular. Number two, she is busy with her own career and will stay engaged and independent during the regular season. Believe it or not, a lot of hockey players don’t want to date women who stay at home all day.
